Well, this is a bit late, but...

Tested this on my Win XP machine with CygWin and JDK 1.4.1 with Velocity CVS 
Head.  (Tried both ant v 1.5 and the nightly build of 1.6alpha).  ant jar and 
ant test worked fine.  Looking at the pasted results above, I'm guessing there 
were two different versions of Velocity in the path.  
(org.apache.velocity.Context was removed 2 years ago).  Either that or there 
was some other problem that was fixed.  Anyway, we can mark this old bug 
resolved.
