Allows other extensions than ".jar" to be recognized in lib by Tomcat
Summary: Allows other extensions than ".jar" to be recognized in
lib by Tomcat
Product: Tomcat 4
Version: 4.0 Beta 1
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Enhancement
Priority: Other
Component: Catalina
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: francis.andre@easynet.fr
Hi Tomcat People
It happens very often that our customers get difficulties in running Oracle
JDBC apps with Tomcat due to the fact that Tomcat recognizes only the "jar"
suffix for library and that Oracle delivers its JDBC driver within a zip
suffixed file.
Would it be nice to have a option or parameter of Tomcat telling which are the
suffixes it should take into account when running, with a default to "jar" to
comply with the actual behavior.
Regards
