[Issue 124655] New: update style icon as in http://www.openoffice.org/documentation/manuals/OOo2.x/user_guide2_draft.pdf

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124655

          Issue ID: 124655
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: update style icon as in
                    http://www.openoffice.org/documentation/manuals/OOo2.x
                    /user_guide2_draft.pdf
           Product: Writer
           Version: 4.0.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows, all
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: P3
         Component: formatting
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: darryl.scott@hotmail.co.uk

I am posting this to push this many times requested failure in functionality to
be given a higher priority.

Simply why does the 'update style' feature as well described in the user
guide, OOo2.x/user_guide2_draft.pdf, not work. This functionality is needed
when producing docs such as ebooks.

Also :

when saving as HTML then closing then opening again the style format is not the
same. New lines are added between paragraphs as it does not adhere to the
paragraph style spacing.

Examples can be provided but I suspect that this is well know within the
community.

--- Comment #2 from Regina Henschel <rb...@t-online.de> ---
For paragraph style you can use the command "Update Style" in the category
"Template". It has got an icon.

The connection between "update style" and "ebook" is not clear.

One problem per issue. So please write a separate issue about the HTML problem.
But please first search Bugzilla, whether the problem is not already reported.
