[jira] [Comment Edited] (FREEMARKER-35) Official JSR 310 support

Daniel Dekany edited comment on FREEMARKER-35 at 9/5/17 2:59 PM:
-----------------------------------------------------------------

It's recognized that it definitely should be implemented... but there's no schedule for it. A proper contribution should be made by someone who is willing enough to understand FreeMarker internals first. I don't know when if ever such contributor shows up, unless I will be that contributor (which is quite probable... but ATM my FreeMarker capacity is taken be FM2 maintenance and FM3).

> I suggest to implement an official JSR 310 support on freemarker.
> I know there's amedia's great freemarker-java-8.
> But if there's an official support, user can use freemarker more easily.
