In the OpenOffice and the LibreOffice too fast is scrolling by the touchpad. In
other applications scroll normally. Notebook Asus X556U, installed the latest
drivers on licensing system. I think this issue is critical and very match ask
to fix it.

Reprodused on the laptop Asus X556U. What other information can I provide? This
problem has existed for many years and a lot of complaints on the Internet.

OpenOffice has no scrolling settings, so it belongs to the Windows settings how
fast or slow the mouse pointer is reacting.
I cannot see a scrolling problem on my Acer laptop (Win 10, AOO 4.1.3). So, as
long as you cannot tell us more details - especially how to reproduce the
behavior you are seeing - we are not able to help here.

If I put the setting to 1, then all other applications start to scroll too
slow. The problem with scrolls only in your applications. If you can not fix
it, why do not you do the speed setting?

Don't reproduce with trackpad and Synaptics Clickpad driver (v.8.1)
The scrolling is the same as the mouse wheel

The issue is a Windows setting Issue. Nothing to do with Open Office or Libre
Office.
I can not provide you with a step by step solution since all windows differ in
their Userhandling slightly. (and this is a developer Issue tracking tool ;) )
But in systempreferences or preferences there should be something to configure
your mouse. (Even if you are useing a trackpad its the mouse settings...)
There you should find a tab that is concerned about the wheel.
And there you find an option for scrolling. The default I think is at 3 Rows
per step on the wheel. However this is very jumpy for trackpads. If you set
this to 1 Row per step you should be fine.
I do not think this setting could be overridden on app base.

I installed Microsoft Word, it scrolls fine. We'll have to use it, so how to
use the scrollbar instead of the touchpad is not convenient.

I checked the code.
I did not find anything that is suspicious.
However I remeber I had the Issue once. And I configured it in someway that
resolved the issue for me.
I am sorry. I did not find anything that will help you atm.

The mouse wheel works fine in OO. I hope you will reproduse it, but for now I
will use Microsoft Word.
