[Issue 127727] i open a file and it crashes after about 6 seconds

If you work with large documents, you should not keep pictures inside the
document. But better use the "link" option:

Other solution: you can use Pixcompress to reduce images size in your document
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/pixcompress
