Font-scaling?
Hi!
Is it possible in fop 1.0 to scale the font's letters horizontally, like in
many softwares, for example InDesign's Horizontal Scale -option?
Any help appreciated!

BTW, there is a Bugzilla entry with a patch for font-stretch which
hasn't been processed, yet: https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=42577
I haven't had the chance to look at the updated patch, yet (Sorry,
Martin).

Not in this business. Sometimes you have to learn to tell them that's a
bad idea. Sometimes they just don't know what they're talking about.
Just tell them to do it properly and use a fixed width font.

You don’t want to use font-stretch. Using font-stretch is evil. That
betrays the intent of the font author who spent a long time designing
their glyphs so that they would look good as they are. Using
font-stretch is like touching up a Van Gogh picture because you don’t
like it. Choose another artist instead :-)

There is a FO property
"font-stretch"(http://www.w3.org/TR/xsl/#font-stretch) which is not
supported by
FOP(http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/compliance.html#fo-property-font-stretch).
I would have liked to do the same thing but I didn't find any solution.
