Getting mandatory root elements from schema (SchemaGrammar or XSModel)

Summary: Getting mandatory root elements from schema
                    (SchemaGrammar or XSModel)
           Product: Xerces2-J
           Version: 2.2.0
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: XML Schema Structures
        AssignedTo: xerces-j-dev@xml.apache.org
        ReportedBy: daniel.macho@aspentech.com
                CC: daniel.macho@aspentech.com

It would be very nice being able to access mandatory root elements
for an schema.

Nowadays querying SchemaGrammar objects for ELEMENT_DECLARATION returns all
top level element declarations (but not the 'root' or the top level ones):

XSNamedMap elementDeclarations = _sg.getComponents
(XSConstants.ELEMENT_DECLARATION);

(Where _sg is a reference to an SchemaGrammar object)

I have managed to get that information by querying all elements not referenced
in any type as the candidates to be the 'top level required' elements. But I
think this kind of query should be Xerces implementation.

Regards,

Daniel Macho.
