Yes, the integration of the links resource type is not finished. There are two
options:

1. Rip it out (i.e. rip the sample file, the menu entries and etc. out)
2. Finish it. This would afaik entail generating an rng schema (easy) and
integrate it with bxe (not easy, but would make for a very nice showcase how you
can edit arbitrary xml with bxe)

Source editor should work if the approriate rng schema is there.
