[Issue 128201] New: Must Recover Documents Each Time I Open Them
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128201
Issue ID: 128201
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Must Recover Documents Each Time I Open Them
Product: Writer
Version: 4.1.7
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: open-import
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: davidscottcraig@comcast.net
Target Milestone: ---
I use Open Office 4.1.7 on Windows 8. Lately, virtually every time I open any
document, I get an "OpenOffice Document Recovery" window. It always says
"Document Name - Notes" and "Status - Not Recovered Yet". I hit "Start
Recovery", and I immediately get "Recovery Failed". I hit "Next", and the
document opens.
I do have many documents named "Notes". But this happens now on every document
I try to open. Even if I've already opened it successfully a few minutes
earlier.

Please note that this is not a typical problem of OpenOffice and it's not
necessarily a bug. Therefore this issue tracker is not the right place for
discussing and solving such case of problems. Please ask for help in the user
forums [1] or the users mailing list [2].
