memory errors

Using Xerces 1.4 under Win 200 Terminal server, I have found that it
crashes with memory errors when running under other programs. The
problem appears appears to be related to Xerces internal pointers. Is
their any way to disable the lazy writing and other features?

Read the FAQ. You are probably mixing runtimes.
