Summary: The Server_Name that is reported does not reflect the
ServerName directive that is defined for the vhost
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.0.55
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: All
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: jameslporter@gmail.com
The Server_Name that is reported does not reflect the ServerName directive that
is defined for the vhost.
<?php $envs = apache_getenv('Server_Name'); print_r($envs); ?>
If you use an alias name (www.website.com) it will report the ServerName is
www.website.com....If the servername is website.com, it should report
website.com. If it is the default Vhost this could lead to XSS attacks(assuming
apache is returning the header as the servername?). If it is comparing that it
is an alias, then the behaviour just needs to change.
