   ### Motivation
   
   The FunctionAuthProvider is an interface responsible for distributing authentication data to functions.  Currently the implementation used is hard coded and not pluggable.
   
   ### Modifications
   
   Make FunctionAuthProvider pluggable so uses can choose implementations
