How about we call the component "crm" (in the specialpurpose directory), and then have different webapps in it for the different major roles, like:

- sales (or sfa)
- marketing
- custsupport

Each one would have a landing page that would be a dashboard for that role.

Does this sound reasonable? Any other roles we should target with CRM?

That's a good question, and I'm not sure what the answer is yet. I guess it depends on what we'd like to put in this more focused application and what the more targeted screens look like, and how that compares to the existing marketing component and webapp...
