[jira] Created: (SLING-281) Improve Sling Component Configuration
panel
Improve Sling Component Configuration panel
-------------------------------------------
Key: SLING-281
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SLING-281
Project: Sling
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Console
Reporter: Thierry Ygé
Priority: Minor
At the moment the way to select the Component Configuration is not so user friendly.
The more component you have , the more it get difficult to find in the drop down list.
So to make it more easy I would suggest to introduce some kind of "Tree" browse with categorized component configuration eventually.

Bertrand Delacretaz commented on SLING-281:
-------------------------------------------
I agree with Thierry that the current dropdown is not convenient.
Instead of a tree, or in addition to it, I'd like to have a unique URL for each item that is now in the dropdown, so that docs and examples can include links to specific configuration pages.
For example, /sling/config/org.apache.sling.osgi.log.LogbackManager.html could be the path to the logging config page.
