How do I run the deployed portlet

Hi,

I have built my portlet and deployed it using the instructions 'build deploy_portlets". This has created the appropriate directory within webapps. But how do i run it. I see from an earlier mail somebody edited pageregistry.xml and portletentityregistry.xml.
If i have to edit these files, I am not quite sure what to enter.
