[jira] Commented: (INFRA-1325) monitor disk space usage on vmbuild

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1325?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12639540#action_12639540 ]

Upayavira commented on INFRA-1325:
----------------------------------

It would be possible to set up 'passive' monitoring, whereby a process on the monitored box reports back to the monitoring host. That way, the vulnerability is on the nagios box, which is a more or less throwaway box.

Would that deal with your concerns Tony?

> since a build server is a big user of disk space, we should have in place early warnings for hitting certain capacity limits.
