I think we have the same problem: links inside the inAppBrowser do not open to external browser. We use the "windows.open(url, "system"). Sometime links are opened, but more frequently not.
What it is strange is the old built App continues to work, while the new App do not work. Is it something related to dependecies?
We use Ionic 3 with Cordova on iOS.
