I just wanted to mention that it's likely that a GCS FileSystem plugin will land in the next release, via [FLINK-11838] Create RecoverableWriter for GCS - ASF JIRA (apache.org).

This would be similar to the S3 plugins that are documented here: [Amazon S3 | Apache Flink|https://nightlies.apache.org/flink/flink-docs-master/docs/deployment/filesystems/s3/].

There will presumably be similar documentation for the GCS plugin as part of this effort.
