Yes, hopefully someone will since I'm not there yet and I've tasted 2.3
on two prior occasions and would love to again..

For the record, the pcre and deftables projects has been removed from
the Apache workspace, but their cousin seem to still exist in the
makefile, so command line builds pcre as we all are familiar with yet
still errors linking the library.

Sorry, can't help with Windows. But it's good that you've flagged
the issue:
hopefully someone will figure it out.

For the record, pcre also caught me out on MacOS. I had the library,
but
no pcre-config, which was required for build. However, in the Mac case,
installing fink's current pcre fixed it.

I too am having issues with pcre when trying to move a custom module
from 2.0 to 2.2.

The ap_ apis seems to behave differently and doesnt match the way it
used to earlier.

Can anybody point me to a summary of what changed exactly other than
the ap_ prefix.

Thanks
Ryan.

Hello Devs,

With the talk of removing pcre I've been dreading this day.

VC6

H:\build\httpd-2.3.2-alpha\server\util_pcre.c(48) : fatal error C1083:
Cannot open include file: 'pcre.h': No such file or directory

I've thrown a prebuilt at it and it doesn't like that either.

LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file "pcre.lib"
Error executing link.exe.

So what's a dumb guy like me supposed to do ... find a new hobby like
bird watching?
Would appreciate pointers.

TIA and kind regards,
Gregg

Since 2.3.2 bears little-to-no resemblance to what will be 2.3.3,
my inclination is -0.5 on this candidate.
