RE: dynamic website
Danny,
Tried the endorsed variable with that with jdk 1.4 , unfortunately no
progress. jdk 1.3 provides the same result. ---
1. Rendered a blank page (i.e. no errors, no frames, nothing) when using
localhost:8080/test (test web-site)
2. Any document using document v11 does not render, not only does the
document not render, but the whole browser render a clear screen.
3. Calling the FAQ page (localhost:8080/test /FAQ), directly does however
bring the site up with that page. The same account for the other document
types - all of them render correctly, including header, tabs/menu tabs, page
etc.
In my check it seems that the use of document-v11 is the culprit causing a
blank display. FAQ, todo and change work from a newly seeded site. I copied
a document-v11 (dtd & mod) from a working site, without any change in
result. At this stage I will have to go wider in my search --- anybody with
a quick solution...
Johan

Johan,
the tips Jeff Turner gave me (see attachement) solved my problems.

Danny,
I recently downloaded the same to a development system running under XP
and obtained the following results using wepapp:
The problem that I have therefor seems to be related to the rendering of
document v11 (or 12). I have not had the time to investigate further...
Can you check if you achieve the same results?

Subject: Using XSP in Forrest
Hi,
I downloaded the apache-forrest-0.4-bin version and am considering to
use it in one of my projects. In this project I do have a bunch of XSP's
which I would like to use in my new forrest project site.
1. Can anyone tell me what I should to do to get an XSP up and running
in my forrest site. The online docs talk about different sitemaps that are
used.....in my prebuild version I only see. Am I using the right version of
forrest?
2. The dynamic website runs perfectly within the Jetty engine but the
WAR-file generated by forrest doesn't run under Tomcat. What am I doing
wrong?
Thanks,
Danny Bols

Is this an attempt to run an XSP? The default Forrest sitemap doesn't
generate URLs like this. Can you paste the pipeline you've got trying to
run the XSP?
When requesting a page from the live webapp ('forrest run' ; see
http://localhost:8888), are there any errors in
build/webapp/WEB-INF/logs/errors.log?

experiments, but not the other non-XSP pipelines..?

The DTD and .mod files are part of Forrest. Why would you be copying
them anywhere?
