   AFAICT the 'permalinks' source propery is never read. It should be dropped.
   
   Note: if it is kept, it will need to be maintained.
   
   For example: importing an email on a new list will generate a new mbox id but the same source id will be created.
   The source permalinks field will then be out of date unless the new id is added to the links.
   Given that the field is not used yet, it is better to drop it before lack of maintenance becomes a problem
