[jira] [Commented] (GORA-73) Add goraci as contrib

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GORA-73?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13870832#comment-13870832 ]

Lewis John McGibbney commented on GORA-73:
------------------------------------------

Folk's I would really like to get this in to Gora. We seem to obtained consensus on approach 1 from above however as [~kturner] has mentioned, goraci is not designed to to JUnit test material, but instead run on clusters of machines.

I would therefore propose importing the goraci code as an independent module e.g. gora-goraci, this can easily inherit from parent pom.xml and therefore rely upon development SNAPSHOT code for testing more intrusive patches which we commit to development codebase(s).

In addition, we could add config for Apache Whirr which would enable users to spin up cluster(s) of machines and run goraci on.

Any comments on this?

[~enis], I also saw tickets for HBASE-5754, HBASE-8091 and especially HBASE-8031... I wonder if you have any comments on this one?
Thank you folks
