 I just pushed a post-review commit to 3.11. 

 I added a bullet in NEWS.txt, not sure whether this is the best format? WDYT?

Not adding the patch to 2.2 and 3.0 was my decision based on two things:
 * only really critical updates 
 * as per our Downloads page it seems they will  be here 2.2 only until 4.0 and 3.0, only 6 months after 4.0 release

Not sure that my reasoning was good enough though. :) Happy to apply the patch there too if it is required.
