python management tools no longer working (for me) on WinXP

I've searched the bug list and google, can't find this issue.

These used to work fine for me w/ 0.5, I'm currently running trunk.
Platform is WinXP(x32), Python 2.5.4.
Running from command box, PYTHONPATH set, executing from python / commands
folder.

All the qpid python tools now report:  (even something simple like "python
qpid-config")
Failed: TypeError: - __init__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'host'

I get this only when the broker is running (connection refused otherwise).
I'm setting up another dev box to see if its isolated to something local...
