collectorSink format parameter

I'm trying to specify the output format for my collectors per flow.  The
documentation seems conflicted, the collectorSink takes a format parameter,
but then the text blurb says that the collector output format is specified
in flume-site.xml.  Is it possible to have a multiple logical collectors on
one machine with different output formats?
