[jira] [Commented] (PDFBOX-1794) Rendering Problem with Type 3 Fonts

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-1794?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13861495#comment-13861495 ]

Tilman Hausherr commented on PDFBOX-1794:
-----------------------------------------

Thank you, however, this solves only one of the issues with that file. The others are related to the bold fonts F2 and F4. For example, "Besucheranschrift" at the right is rendered "9esucheranschrift".

I did some tracing, and all I can tell is that the "B" is really in drawType3String(), i.e. the "differences" array is applied. The relevant line in the pdf is

{code}
(!"#$%&"'\(\)#%&'*+,) Tj
{code}

and the ! is really mapped to a "B", so the problem happens somewhere deeper.

Or should I open a different issue for these?

> (This is the same problem mentioned in PDFBOX-1773, but this time its not from my employer. I was able to find a tool (qpdf) to create an uncompressed PDF file and this way to remove my customer#)
