Disable the pointer function

Hi,

We just installed Openmeetings 1.9 on windows and need to disable the
pointer function (for at least one of the room types).

We found a link

http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/source/detail?r=2850#

that explains how to disable pointer in a restricted room, but when we
tried to follow the instructions, we could not find baseDraw.lzx and
fixedWhiteBoard.lzx.

Could you please let us know how to disable pointer function for any
one of the room types in Openmeetings 1.9?

Thanks.

RE: Disable the pointer function

Hey Ching,

I'm documenting the Windows "How To" now and it will be on the wiki in a
few hours, if you follow the guide you can install OM 2.x on windows, as
Seb says it's the same tzr.gz file, the documentation I have will also
show you how to install ant and compile it on the Windows machine.

Cheers

What do you mean by "Windows version"
Our Binary is Universal. You can download .tar.gz and unpack it, it will
have the same content as a potential .zip file.

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for your reply.

Does Openmeetings 2.0 have a windows version? If it does, please let us
know where to find it.

Thanks.

Re: Disable the pointer function

Hi Sebastian,

Hope you are well.

I emailed you a couple of weeks ago to inquire how to disable the pointer
function. You kindly advised me to install Openmeetings 2.0.

We have now installed Openmeetings 2.0 on our windows server. However, the
pointer function is not disabled in the restricted rooms by default. Could
you please advise us how to manually disable the pointer for users?

Also, when we play videos, the audio and video are both a little choppy,
and we did not have this problem when we used a Linux server. Is this a
solvable problem?

Thank you for your help.

Ching

What do you mean by "Windows version"
Our Binary is Universal. You can download .tar.gz and unpack it, it will
have the same content as a potential .zip file.

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for your reply.

Does Openmeetings 2.0 have a windows version? If it does, please let us
know where to find it.

Thanks.

Hi Ching,

you should verify your tests with a Nightly Build of Openmeetings 2.0
http://builds.apache.org/job/openmeetings/

The file you are looking for is still there:

Re: Disable the pointer function

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for your reply.

Somehow the pointer function in the Openmeetings 1.9 we installed is not
disabled in the restricted rooms. Is there anywhere in the Configuration
that we can disable it?

We searched in
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/incubator/openmeetings/trunk/singlewebapp/WebContent/openmeetings/,
but we still can't find
/trunk/singlewebapp/WebContent/openmeetings/modules/conference/whiteboard/base/baseDraw.lzx.
Has the file name changed or is there any other guidance you could give
us? Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Ching

You should disable that functionality by checking out the current sources
from the Apache SVN, not GoogleCode.

Actually in room type restricted the pointer should be already
disabled/invisible.
