Look for hadoop's core-user and core-dev lists on http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/ :

http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/hadoop-core-dev/
This shows no emails in last 6 months. But the lists are clearly active and markmail.org shows that:
http://hadoop.markmail.org/search/?q=#query:list%3Aorg.apache.hadoop.core-user
In addition, hadoop-user and hadoop-dev lists, which I don't think really exist any more, are listed under lucene.apache.org on http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/ .

Apparently this has to do with Hadoop Core becoming Hadoop Common
