[GitHub] [streampipes] dominikriemer opened a new issue, #549: Split StreamPipes Connect worker into two different services

dominikriemer opened a new issue, #549:
URL: https://github.com/apache/streampipes/issues/549

Currently, all adapters that are included in StreamPipes are served from a single service. Besides IIoT adapters, there are several adapters that are not directly related to IIoT data ingestion, but other sources.

By splitting the connect modules into an "iiot" module and another module that includes all other adapters, users can better decide which adapters are relevant for their use case.

Imported from Jira [STREAMPIPES-387](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/STREAMPIPES-387). Original Jira may contain additional context.
   Reported by: riemer.
