Newbie Question
I have installed Apache 1.3.11 and HTML::Mason 0.8 on my server. I am
trying to configure Apache's httpd.conf for Mason. I have added the
following lines to httpd.conf:
PerlRequire /usr/local/mason/handler.pl
Alias /mason /usr/local/www/htdocs
<Location /mason>
SetHandler perl-script
PerlHandler HTML::Mason
</Location>
When I try to restart Apache, I get the following error (after running
apachectl configtest):
Syntax error on Line 717 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'PerlRequire' , perhaps misspelled or defined by a
module not included in server configuration.
Any suggestions? I am at a loss as to what to do.

If I'm not mistaken, that's a sign that mod_perl is not installed or not
installed properly. Read the guide on how to check if mod_perl is running,
and reinstall mod_perl if it isn't.

You didn't install mod_perl!
