Jenkins update and restart later tonight

The Impala Jenkins server at jenkins.impala.io will be updated and
restarted tonight after midnight Pacific time (that is Wednesday, 08:00
UTC). Jenkins will first be put into quiescent mode, where existing jobs
will be allowed to finish, but new jobs will not be able to start. Once the
running jobs are finished the server will be updated and restarted.
Past experience shows that jobs may get stuck when Jenkins is winding down.
In such a case these jobs will be terminated, then restarted manually when
the server is back online.

Mail will be sent before the update begins, and when the server is
available again.

The Jenkins update is finished, the server is up and running normally.

There were two jobs (again) that had to be cancelled, because the soft
restart
mechanism interfered with their normal completion:

   - https://gerrit.cloudera.org/#/c/12020 for Fredy Wijaya
   - https://gerrit.cloudera.org/#/c/12528/ for Tim Armstrong

Both jobs were restarted and seem to be progressing normally; please let me
know if you encounter any problems with them.

Please note that jenkins.impala.io is preparing for shutdown and update.
Currently running builds will complete, but no further jobs can be started
until the upgrade is complete and the server has been restarted.

Another email will be sent when the server is back up and running.
