[Bug 64949] New: Server denies requests from network

https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=64949

            Bug ID: 64949
           Summary: Server denies requests from network
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.5-HEAD
          Hardware: HP
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: trivial
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_access
          Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org
          Reporter: hwalker@windev.cc
  Target Milestone: ---

The server returns a "403 Forbidden" when trying to access it via the local
network.

This bug would be fixed by including these lines in the configuration file:

<FilesMatch "^\.htaccess">
        Require all denied
</FilesMatch>

<FilesMatch "^\.htpasswd">
        Require all denied
</FilesMatch>

<FilesMatch "^\.html">
        Require all granted
</FilesMatch>

Thank you for your report. As part of an effort to clean up our issue tracker,
we are closing tickets that have seen no activity for more than 5 years. If
this issue is still relevant to a current version of Apache httpd (2.4.x or
trunk), please reopen this ticket or open a new one with updated information.
We appreciate your contribution to the project.
