[GitHub] [solr-sandbox] markrmiller opened a new pull request, #47: MirroringUpdateProcessor does it's own batching that is not coherent with Kafka batching and not compatible with streaming.

markrmiller opened a new pull request, #47:
URL: https://github.com/apache/solr-sandbox/pull/47

This shifts to just using Kafka batching to circumvent the two noted issues with the current approach. It does not yet address a change in behavior of the Consumer, which will receive updates in batches, but not process them in batches. Doing so is mostly straightforward, but requires possible further sub batching depending on the meta data included with each update.

Perhaps we should move to be a PR against `main` at this point ?
