Specify The Sleep Interval To Save Unnecessary RPC's
Harshakiran Reddy created HDFS-14255:
----------------------------------------
Summary: Tail Follow Interval Should Allow To Specify The Sleep Interval To Save Unnecessary RPC's
Key: HDFS-14255
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-14255
Project: Hadoop HDFS
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Harshakiran Reddy
As of now tail -f follows every 5 seconds. We should allow a parameter to specify this sleep interval. Linux has this configurable as in form of -s parameter.
