[~gramana] I have verified the unit test in https://github.com/apache/calcite/pull/2747, and it runs fine with latest Calcite.
Therefore, as I suspected, it seems the bug has been fixed as a side effect of CALCITE-5061, so I'm moving the current ticket as DONE.
