[users@httpd] Any known issues with mod_deflate and IE 5.0 or IE 6.0?

I am getting complaints about corrupted html files from someone that regularly
looks at my web pages. As far as I can tell there isn't a proxy between
him and me. It looks like the problem may be with cached copies of the
pages. For some of the times he has said there were problems there were
no matching request logs. Forcing a reload of the pages can fix the problem.
In one case he said he needed to reload the page twice, but I am not sure
that there were really two reloads.
I am using the deflate filter with apache 2.0.41 (from CVS). I haven't ever
seen the problem accessing the pages using lynx or opera.
I tried doing a google search for related problems and saw some warnings
about proxies (but I don't think there is one) and about plugins. I haven't
found anything indicating that IE 5 or 6 have a problem using cached
copies.

I think there might be a problem with the transfer-encoding field. You
should try to check the HTTP-headers he receives. Also, how is the page
stored in his cache? What happens when you access it directly from cache?
