Re: Please help! Any interest in continuing the Apache Bloodhound
project?
I would offer my help for writing Documentation. Especially when it comes to the Windows Environment. If I remember correctly than you were already looking for Guys that help you with that.
As you might have read from my previous mail I have already written an in depth tutorial about How to install Apache Bloodhound on Windows. Unfortunately Version 0.8 was released a few days before I finished the Tutorial and so I decided to not announce it on the mailing list. Maybe now its the time to bring it up to date to get things going again.
Just in case you are interested in the Tutorial you can find it here:

Hi everyone,
For quite a while now it has been clear that development activity on the
Apache Bloodhound project has stalled, and the current Bloodhound
Project Management Committee has determined that there are not enough
members with the time to dedicate to the project. This is putting the
project on the path to a move to the Apache Attic.
This move to the Attic is not a foregone conclusion but avoiding it will
require more volunteers to get involved with the project. I am not aware
of anyone who has been involved in the project who wants the project to
stop and so we would be very welcoming of more volunteers!
Please let us know if you are interested in getting involved with this
project as soon as possible.
For more about the Attic process and what it means, see
https://attic.apache.org/
Many thanks,
Gary

Hi David,
If you are interested you might be able to help us with updating our
Wikipedia wiki page [1]. I noticed that it is out of date and lacks
resources and it is a good starting point.
In my opinion it might be one of the major places where interested parties
research about our project. Therefore keeping it up to date is important.

Thanks,
Dammina.

Hey Gary
Contributing to the core documentation is my main interest. So I think I will definitely find some time for it.
However as I am not a native speaker I will need someone for proofreading my texts.
Can you tell me where documentation is needed right now and how to get a login name for the wiki?

Hi David,
I just wanted to say thanks for responding. As someone who is willing to
get involved with documentation, contributions from you will be very
useful. Having external blog posts discussing installation and other
aspects are obviously very welcome. If you have time to contribute
towards the core documentation as well, that would be great.
Cheers,
Gary
