   What is the relationship between this PR and #38712? Why do we have two PRs?
   
   If this PR is superceding #38712, can we continue discussion here on which identifier to use based on [my last comment on the old PR](https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/38712#issuecomment-1334227405)?
