[jira] [Created] (CB-1319) info.plist general error

Mr. Extreme created CB-1319:
-------------------------------

             Summary: info.plist general error
                 Key: CB-1319
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-1319
             Project: Apache Cordova
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: iOS
    Affects Versions: 2.0.0
         Environment: Cordova 2.0.0, iOS 5.1
            Reporter: Mr. Extreme
            Assignee: Shazron Abdullah
            Priority: Blocker

I upload the files to the server, it compiles them, and the Android version is uploaded to the market without any (immediate) errors. However, when we try to upload it to the Apple Store, we get the error:

Unable to process application Info.plist validation at this time due to a general error.

I will try it with Cordova 1.9.0 to see if it is a new 2.0.0 error or not.

Shazron Abdullah commented on CB-1319:
--------------------------------------

Not a Cordova issue. We don't touch the Info.plist, whatever gets changed there is by Xcode or by the dev. This would have been caught by the validation tool.

It is possible that the default template Info.plist is malformed or has outdated info (I remember Apple changing a value from NSArray to NSDictionary). Attach your plist so I can take a look.

Just rename the .ipa to .zip, and grab the Info.plist in there.

We rebuilt the exact same source code with Cordova 1.9.0 and we were able to upload it to the App Store without any errors. I'm going to grab the plist file for you now and attach it here.

Mr. Extreme updated CB-1319:
----------------------------

    Attachment: Info.plist

I just re-compiled the project ( app id 42778 ) with Cordova 2.0.0, here is the Info.plist file from the .ipa file. I don't know if this one is still faulty or not, the dev who is responsible for the Mac uploads is not in today.

Mr. Extreme commented on CB-1319:
---------------------------------

I don't have a .plist file, only inside the .ipa file I d/l from the builder, so Cordova puts it there. No Mac or XCode is involved in the development, and I have never seen that issue before, only since I use Cordova 2.0.0. I will attach the file on Monday.

[jira] [Resolved] (CB-1319) info.plist general error

Shazron Abdullah resolved CB-1319.
----------------------------------

    Resolution: Cannot Reproduce

Resolving as no repro. Feel free to re-open if it re-occurs, but this is probably more of a PG Build issue (possible corruption of Info.plist) than a general Cordova issue.

We tried again to upload the app made by Cordova 2.0.0, and now it got accepted for evaluation without any problem.
