[Issue 125941] New: In Pivot Table time format not retained on refresh if over 24 hours

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125941

          Issue ID: 125941
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: In Pivot Table time format not retained on refresh if
                    over 24 hours
           Product: Calc
           Version: 4.1.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows Vista
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P3
         Component: formatting
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: mervyn.beach@gmail.com

Created attachment 84291

Screen print of correct format

The spreadsheet is used to record time in form HH:MM

The format for the total result field should be [HH]:MM;"("[HH]:MM")"

Once the total field exceeds 24 hours this cell reverts to format HH:MM on
refresh of the pivot table. Requiring the cell format to be reset each time.

The cell data is correct for use elsewhere in the spreadsheet therefore this a
presentation issue only, but very annoying.

The attachment is the working spreadsheet and the pivot table which produces
the error on refresh.

Does this help to recreate the problem?

No, provide a step-by-step procedure to reproduce (the simpler will be the
better).

Well, why did you provide a screenshot embedded in an ODT instead of your real
spreadsheet? Understand that this is not easy to reproduce.
Thanks to save time for developper team and attach an ODS file.

Well you put the cursor somewhere in the pivot table, right click and choose
refresh.

When you do that the total time in cell P14 will not show the total hours if
they exceed 24.

Navigate to cell p14 and choose Format-Cells. It will be set to time but at
the top of the list 13:37 which is wrong. Change this and select 876613:37.
Press OK and the correct format is then used to show the total hours.

However as soon as you refresh the pivot table again, the format setting again
will be lost and will revert to 13:37. WHY?

This reversion to the basic time setting where any of the total fields in the
pivot table exceed 24 hours. Or, in other words the pivot table cannot cope
with time exceeding 24 hours anywhere whether in the totals or any field. It
does not recognize any time format other than HH:MM
