Test environment: A laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate
OO version: AOO411m6(Build:9775) - Rev. 1617669
PowerPoint: 2013

I copy/pasted bullet points with custom style between different presentations
in OO and also in PowerPoint for comparison since they are competitive
products. Both of them failed to copy/paste the custom bullet style, which led
me to believe that this is not a defect but a feature in both products.

Possible to reproduce with the following steps in OO:

1)Create a new Empty presentation in Impress
2)Create another Empty presentation in Impress
3)Choose layout for first slides in both presentations: “Title, Content”
4)In the Normal view click on the Content area of the first slide
5)Type some text, right click on the text and choose Numbering/Bullets…
6)Choose Check mark bullets and click OK
7)User can now see the text with the selected custom bullet style
8)Select the text and copy it
9)In the second presentation, click on the text “Click to add text” and paste
the text
10)Instead of the user selected bullet style, no bullet style gets pasted, only
plain text.

Steps for reproducing it in PowerPoint:

1)Create a new Blank presentation
2)Create another Blank presentation
3)Choose layout for first slides in both presentations: “Title and Content”
4)In the default view click on the Content area of the first slide
5)Type some text, right click on the text, move mouse over Bullets and choose
Checkmark bullets
6)User can now see the text with the selected bullet style
7)Select the text and copy it
8)In the second presentation, click on the text “Click to add text” and paste
it
9)Instead of the user selected bullet style, default bullet style gets pasted

None of the products were able to copy the custom bullet style and because of
that it doesn’t seem to be a bug.

--- Comment #2 from Silvana <si...@progressive.com> ---
I attempted to recreate the issue using OO version 4.0.1 and Windows7 with the
Impress application. My results are documented below:
(see the Impress attachment for the corresponding views documented below)
SLIDE 1:
1. create 'empty presentation' Impress document
2. select Title over Content over Content view
3. input text with the large circular bullets into top text area
4. copy the bulleted area and paste into the bottom text area
5. the bullets appear as expected. UNABLE TO REPRODUCE ISSUE IN THIS
INSTANCE

SLIDE 2:
1. on same presentation, click INSERT-SLIDE
2. select Title over Content over Content view
3. input text with right pointing arrow bullet into the top text area
4. copy the arrow bulleted area and paste into the bottom text area
5. the arrow bullets do not appear. REPRODUCED THE ISSUE IN THIS INSTANCE
SLIDE 3
1. on same presentation, click INSERT-SLIDE
2. select Title over Content over Content view
3. input 4 lines of text with different bullets for each line (round,
diamond, square and tick style bullets) into the top text area
4. copy the bulleted area and paste into the bottom text area
5. only the round bullet appears. The other bullets (diamond, square, tick)
do not appear. REPRODUCED THE ISSUE IN THIS INSTANCE

Also tried the Slides 1&2 tests on the Writer application. The Writer bullets
behave as expected. See Writer attachment
