Declaring end of life for 2.0
Folks,
I suggest we declare the HttpClient 2 branch as "end of life", now that
we have 3.0 out and are working on HttpComponents. That would
essentially mean we won't make changes to the 2.0 codebase any more
(which is already a fact) and there will be no more 2.x releases. It
would also mean we can take the 2.0 site offline with the advent of the
HttpComponents site. This should encourage more people to switch to 3.0.
What do you think?
Odi

I fully agree. This decision, however, should go through a formal voting
process. Could you please start a vote on this subject?
