I believe the AppVeyor CI is failing due to an issue addressed in PR https://github.com/apache/arrow/pull/37558 . These tests were failing locally on my master as well, so I wouldn't expect the AppVeyor CI check to succeed until the above PR is merged in and I rebase.

After merging your PR, Conbench analyzed the 6 benchmarking runs that have been run so far on merge-commit 5a1ca69d617288a12769b279502d8815a859f487.
There was 1 benchmark result indicating a performance regression:
