   I still do not think it is good to downgrade a dependency only because we need to be compatible with branch-1, as on branch-2 we are jdk8 only...
   
   Maybe add a special profile called jdk7 and use different dependency versions when this profile is activated, and add '-jdk7' suffix to the deployed artifacts?
