[jira] [Created] (REEF-1426) The Scatter function in Group Communication with Tree topology is wrong

Dhruv Mahajan created REEF-1426:
-----------------------------------

Summary: The Scatter function in Group Communication with Tree topology is wrong
                 Key: REEF-1426
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/REEF-1426
             Project: REEF
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: REEF.NET
         Environment: C#
            Reporter: Dhruv Mahajan

The scatter operator with tree topology does not give right answer. Suppose there are 7 nodes arranged in tree. 0 has 1,2 as children, 1 has 3,4 and 2 has 5,6. Then if we are doing scatter of array [0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7], then each ode should get one element from the array. Instead currently, the internal ndoes will have array of size 4, while leaf nodes will have array of size 2. That is, internal nodes do not retain their part on array before sending it to children.

The aim of this JIRA is to fix this.
