[jira] Commented: (INFRA-2127) Make community@apache.org open to anyone

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2127?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12728317#action_12728317 ]

#asfinfra IRC Bot commented on INFRA-2127:
------------------------------------------

<brettporter> the current policy was established by a vote when the list was started (http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/www-community/200211.mbox/%3c3DC3A725.50308@apache.org%3e). I haven't checked if there were any others since. Moderation load was one concern raised with this, and another is the necessity to change it (other than gmail subscription problems).
