[VOTE] Release Tuscany Java DAS beta1 (RC3)
Please vote to release the beta1 distribution of Tuscany DAS for Java.
All the major issues reported in RC1 and RC2 should now be fixed.
The Release Candidate RC3 for Tuscany Java DAS beta1 is available at

The sample artifacts aren't really be distributed in the maven repository
are they so should be deleted from the temp repo? Also none of the maven
artifacts are signed. Both of those can be fixed keeping the release
distributions as-is though without a requiring any respin.
A lot of the LICENSE files included unnecessary licenses,and the NOTICE
files include the incubation disclaimer text even though there's a separate
DISCLAIMER file. Can fix these next release though.
I can't verify the signatures on this machine, hopefully someone has checked
them?

I've verified the signatures for the src and bin distros and they seem
fine. The License file mentions 'Apache Jackarta'... while I think it
is 'Apache Jakarta'. Maybe this very minor thing could be fixed for
the next release.
So over all, here is my +1 for this release.

I ran the ComanyWeb and Ajax samples on OS X/Tomcat 6 and both ran
fine. I think the Ajax example could be changed a bit to be more
intuitive. For example, it is not clear what is happening with the
OCC example. The Adhoc query example looks good but the Converter
exercise is confusing; mainly because it is a direct exposure of a
test case that was a bit contrived.
Another possible simplification would be to have the two samples share
the same database. This would save the user a bit of required
configuration.
