[jira] [Created] (OOZIE-1087) Remove requirement of
hive-default.xml from Hive action
Robert Kanter created OOZIE-1087:
------------------------------------
Summary: Remove requirement of hive-default.xml from Hive action
Key: OOZIE-1087
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OOZIE-1087
Project: Oozie
Issue Type: Bug
Components: action
Affects Versions: trunk
Reporter: Robert Kanter
Assignee: Robert Kanter
Fix For: trunk
Since Hive 0.8.0, the hive-default.xml is no longer bundled in the Hive JARs, which means that if the user doesn't specify {{oozie.hive.defaults}}, then the hive action will throw a RuntimeException. In fact, Hive actually ignores hive-default.xml, so we should remove the related behavior/properties/requriements from the Hive action altogether.

I also ran the Hive example to make sure it still works.
