This appears to be resolved on master. Commit `0c0c402a9a03` (PR #17457, *refactor: Use HoodieFileGroupReader paths for all Spark Datasource reads*) deleted `HoodieBootstrapMORRDD` / `HoodieBootstrapMORRelation` and routed bootstrap MOR snapshot reads through `HoodieFileGroupReader`.
The file group reader honors `hoodie.datasource.merge.type` uniformly:
- `HoodieFileGroupReader.java:114` reads `MERGE_TYPE` and propagates `isSkipMerge`.
- `DefaultFileGroupRecordBufferLoader.java:63-67` selects `UnmergedFileGroupRecordBuffer` when `skip_merge` is set.
- Bootstrap base files (skeleton + bootstrap data) are handled at `HoodieFileGroupReader.java:150-152` and `172-208`, using the same record buffer logic for log files as non-bootstrap MOR.
Could you verify on current master and close if working as expected? Happy to re-open if a specific case still fails.
